The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 by a burning fire 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
