Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
