In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Belike thou shalt kill thyself with grief because they become not believers. 3 If We will, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility. 4 Never cometh there unto them a fresh reminder from the Beneficent One, but they turn away from it. 5 So they have surely belied; wherefore anon there shall come unto them the truth of that whereat they were wont to mock. 6 Did they not look at the earth - how much We have produced therein from every noble kind? 7 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. 8 Your Lord is the Majestic and the All-merciful. 9

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
