T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
