Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 [And then he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Save me and my household from all that they are doing!" 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
