Also, remember Our worshiper Job. He called out to his Lord, (saying): 'satan has afflicted me with harm and pain' 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 And We gave to him his family, and the like of them with them, as a mercy from us, and a reminder unto men possessed of minds; 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 for, verily, We purified them by means of a thought most pure: the remembrance of the life to come. 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 Remember also Our servants Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl; each is among the excellent. 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 They will be resting therein and will be able to ask for many kinds of fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And with them will be virgins of refraining looks and of equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 And other Penalties of a similar kind, to match them! 58 This is an army plunging in without consideration along with you; no welcome for them, surely they shall enter fire. 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They shall say: Our Lord! whoever prepared it first for us, add Thou to him a double chastisement in the fire. 61 And they will say: 'Why do we not see the men that we counted as being among the wicked in here? 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
