Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
