The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 and by the day when it breaks in its glory, 2 and by the creation of the male and the female. 3 Verily, [O men,] you aim at most divergent ends! 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 And accepts the best, 6 We shall ease the way of fortune for him. 7 But he who does not give and is unconcerned, 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [into the pit]. 11 Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance. 12 And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. 13 So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing. 14 whereat none but the most wretched shall be roasted, 15 Who had denied and turned away. 16 Far removed from it will be the righteous 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 not as payment for any favours that he received, 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 He will surely be well-pleased (with him). 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
