The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Most Merciful 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man. 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25
