▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 A warning unto humankind 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
