The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder 1 and gives ear to its Lord, and is fitly disposed; 2 And when the earth is flattened out, 3 And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it] 4 And it listens to the command of its Lord and that befits it. 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 And as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, 7 will be easy, 8 and shall return to his people joyfully. 9 And as to him who shall be given his book from behind his back 10 He surely will invoke destruction 11 but he will enter the blazing flame. 12 He used to live joyfully among his people, 13 He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah). 14 Why not? His Lord was always watching him. 15 I do not need to swear by the sunset, 16 And by the night and all that it enshroudeth, 17 And by the moon when it is at the full, 18 that you shall surely ride from stage to stage. 19 What is wrong with them that they do not believe? 20 And when the Quran is recited to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it). 22 Allah knows best what they are accumulating (in their Record). 23 Therefore give to them glad tidings of a painful punishment, 24 But for those who believe and do good works; for them there shall be a never-ending reward. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
