The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 and by the day as it appears radiantly, 2 By Him Who hath created the male and the female, 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 As for one who gives [to others] and fears [God], 5 And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- 6 Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. 7 But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient. 8 and he belied the finest 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit). 11 Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance, 12 and to Us belongs the Hereafter as well as the present world -- 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. 15 who have rejected the (Truth) and have turned away from it. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 Who giveth away his substance that he may be cleansed, 18 And none hath with him any favour for reward, 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
