Seest thou not that We have set the Evil Ones on against the unbelievers, to incite them with fury? 83 So do not be impatient for them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him); We are only completing their number.* (* The number of days left for them or their evil deeds.) 84 On the day when We shall gather the righteous unto the Beneficent, a goodly company. 85 And drive the guilty unto hell, a weary herd, 86 No one will have power to intercede, except for those who have permission from the Lord of Mercy. 87 And they say: The Beneficent Allah has taken (to Himself) a son. 88 You have done an atrocious thing. 89 The heavens may almost be rent thereat, and the earth cleave asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, 90 That they should ascribe unto the Compassionate a son. 91 And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son. 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but comes before Ar-Rahman in all obedience. 93 He has counted them and exactly numbered all; 94 and each one shall come to Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 The Lord of Mercy will bestow affection upon those who believe and perform righteous deeds. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Do you see any one of them or hear a sound of them? 98
