[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 And ease for me my task 26 And untie the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Harun, my brother. 30 Strengthen me through him 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
