The prople of Lout (Lot) (those dwelt in the towns of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 He said, "I am one of those who abhors your ways. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
