The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191
