Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And those that strike violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 and the severally severing 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
