The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
