The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 who taught by the pen, 4 taught Man that he knew not. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen him who forbids 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We shall call on the guards of Hell. 18 Nay, Obey not thou him. But prostrate thyself, and draw near (unto Allah). ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
