The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 roaring over the hearts 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 In extended columns. 9
