(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 Make my task easy 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Aaron my brother 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and may remember You much. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 when thy sister went out, saying, "Shall I point you to one to have charge of him?" So We returned thee to thy mother that she might rejoice, and not sorrow. Then thou slewest; a living soul, and We delivered thee out of grief, and We tried thee with many trials. Many years among the people of Midian thou didst sojourn, then camest hither, Moses, according to a decree. 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
