And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve! Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire! 27 Shall We treat those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, as Mufsidun (those who associate partners in worship with Allah and commit crimes) on earth? Or shall We treat the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2), as the Fujjar (criminals, disbelievers, wicked, etc)? 28 (This is) a Book (the Quran) which We have sent down to you, full of blessings that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may remember. 29 We gave David Solomon. He was an excellent servant who always turned to God. 30 When well-bred horses, which were fleet of foot were paraded before him near the close of day, 31 And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night): 32 "Bring them back unto me!" - and would [lovingly] stroke their legs and their necks. 33 And assuredly We tried Sulaiman, and set upon his throne a mere body. Thereafter he was penitent. 34 He said: my Lord! forgive me, and bestow on me a dominion which no one may obtain beside me: verily Thou! Thou art the Bestower. 35 Then We subjected the wind to his power, to flow gently to his order, Whithersoever he willed,- 36 and all the devils who built and dived for him. 37 and others chained in fetters. 38 We said: "This is Our gift, so give or withhold as you wish without reckoning." 39 And most surely he had a nearness to Us and an excellent resort. 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
