Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 and those that apportion [the gift of life] at [God's] behest! 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
