Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble, recording, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
