The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
