Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
We have granted to you, (Muhammad), a manifest victory, 1 So that Allah may forgive, for your sake, the sins of those before you and those after you, and complete His favours upon you, and to show you the Straight Path. 2 And that Allah may succour thee with a mighty succour. 3 He it is Who sent down As-Sakinah (calmness and tranquillity) into the hearts of the believers, that they may grow more in Faith along with their (present) Faith. And to Allah belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise. 4 [and] that He might admit the believers, both men and women, into gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide, and that He might efface their [past bad] deeds: and that is, in the sight of God, indeed a triumph supreme! 5 so that He would punish the hypocrites and the pagans who have evil suspicions about God. It is they who are surrounded by evil and have become subject to the wrath and condemnation of God. He has prepared for them hell, a terrible place to live. 6 For God's are the armies of the heavens and the earth; and God is all-knowing and all-wise. 7 Verily, We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) as a witness, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner. 8 That you may believe in Allah and His Apostle and may aid him and revere him; and (that) you may declare His glory, morning and evening. 9 Those who swear fealty to thee swear fealty in truth to God; God's hand is over their hands. Then whosoever breaks his oath breaks it but to his own hurt; and whoso fulfils his covenant made with God, God will give him a mighty wage. 10
