Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
