Al-Najm 3 of 3
Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
