Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
