He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 And what could let you know? Perhaps he (comes to hear you) to be purified. 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient, 5 you eagerly attended to him -- 6 though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 and fearfully, 9 From him will you divert yourself. 10 By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction: 11 So whoever wills may remember it. 12 (Contained) in honoured pages, 13 Exalted and purified, 14 By the hands of scribes. 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 Then He causes him to die, and puts him in his grave; 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let man therefore consider (the sources of) his food. 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 And caused to grow within it grain 27 And grapes and green fodder 28 And Olives and Dates, 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruits and herbage: 31 A provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. 37 Some faces on that day will be radiant, 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
