Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Has the story reached thee of the overwhelming (Event)? 1 (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 in a sublime Garden, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 And chosen goblets. 14 And cushions lined up 15 and outspread carpets. 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 And the mountains: how they were fixed? 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 Allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
