۞ And Allah has proclaimed, “Do not ascribe two Gods; indeed He is the only One God; therefore fear Me alone.” 51 To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and on the earth, and obedience is due to Him alone. Will you then fear anyone other than God? 52 Every bounty that you enjoy is from Allah; and whenever any misfortune strikes you, it is to Him that you cry for the removal of your distress. 53 But as soon as He removes the distress from you, some of you associate others with their Lord in giving thanks, 54 that they may show unthankfulness for that We have given them. So take your joy; certainly you will soon know! 55 They set apart for those, whose reality they do not even know, a portion of the sustenance We have provided them. By Allah, you will surely be called to account for the lies that you have invented! 56 They assign daughters to God, glory be to Him!, but for themselves [sons] that they desire to have. 57 And when the news of (the birth of) a female (child) is brought to any of them, his face becomes dark, and he is filled with inward grief! 58 as he hides him from the people because of the evil of the good tidings that have been given unto him, whether he shall preserve it in humiliation, or trample it; into the dust. Ah, evil is that they judge! 59 For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil description, and for Allah is the highest description. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 60
