In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 In what other lore after this will they then believe? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
