Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: Thorns (Al-Masad). Sent down in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
