S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Sad. By the Koran, containing the Remembrance -- 1 But the Unbelievers (are steeped) in self-glory and Separatism. 2 How many a generation We destroyed before them, and they called, but time was none to escape. 3 And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say: This is an enchanter, a liar. 4 Has he made the gods one single God? This is truly astounding.” 5 And their leading chiefs said: "Remain attached to your gods. There is surely some motive behind it. 6 We heard not thereof in the later faith; this is naught but an invention. 7 “Is the Qur’an which is sent to him, among us?” In fact they are in a doubt concerning My Book; in fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or do they hold the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Almighty, the Great Bestower? 9 Or, is theirs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Then let them ascend by (their) means! 10 They will be one more army vanquished among the many routed hordes. 11 Before them (were many who) belied Messengers, the people of Nuh (Noah); and 'Ad; and Fir'aun (Pharaoh) the man of stakes (with which he used to punish the people), 12 So also did the people of Thamud, Lot, and the dwellers of the Forest. 13 There was not one of those that did not belie the Messengers. Therefore, My retribution was realized. 14
