The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created the human being 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
