The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh (Noah) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand. 113 And I am not going to drive away the believers; 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Noah, thou shalt assuredly be one of the stoned.' 116 Noah said, "My Lord, my people have rejected me, 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 then afterwards We drowned the rest. 120 There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them do not believe: 121 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 122
