۞ Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 That you bring it back, if you are truthful? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 then for him there shall be comfort and plenty and a Garden of Bliss; 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
