The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
