To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear? 100 We have told you the stories of those towns: their messengers came to them with clear signs, but they were never going to believe in something they had already rejected. Thus God seals up the hearts of those who deny the truth. 101 We found no (loyalty to any) covenant in most of them. Nay, most of them We found wrong-doers. 102 After those We sent forth Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his assembly, but with it they harmed. Look at the end of the corrupters. 103 Moses said: "O Pharaoh! I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds,- 104 (I am) worthy of not saying anything about Allah except the truth: I have come to you indeed with clear proof from your Lord, therefore send with me the children of Israel 105 (Pharaoh) said: If thou comest with a token, then produce it, if thou art of those who speak the truth. 106 Therefore Moosa put down his staff – it immediately turned into a visible python. 107 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white to the beholders. 108
