Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and we made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe? 30 And We have placed mountains as anchors in the earth so that it may not shake with them; and We kept wide roads in it, so that they may find guidance. 31 We established the heaven as a well protected roof, yet they still turn away from its signs. 32 And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit. 33 We have given no man everlastingness before you. So then if you die, will they live ever after? 34 Every soul will know the taste of death. We tempt you with evil and with good as a trial; and to Us you will return. 35 When the Unbelievers see thee, they treat thee not except with ridicule. "Is this," (they say), "the one who talks of your gods?" and they blaspheme at the mention of (Allah) Most Gracious! 36 Man is a creature of haste. Soon I will show you My signs, but do not ask Me to hasten them. 37 And they say: "When will this promise (come to pass), if you are truthful." 38 If only those who deny the truth knew the time when they would not be able to ward off the fire neither from their faces nor from their backs. They will not be helped! 39 It will overtake them suddenly, dumbfounding them. They shall be unable to ward it off, and they shall not be respited. 40 And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by what they used to ridicule. 41
