The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 and the scarers scaring 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
