The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said, 'Shall we believe thee, whom the vilest follow?' 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they do? 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: if thou desistest not, thou shalt surely be of those stoned. 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 121 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 122
