We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
