Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

AND, INDEED, We have set up in the heavens great constellations, and endowed them with beauty for all to behold; 16 And (moreover) We have guarded them from every cursed devil: 17 Save him who stealeth the hearing, and them doth a clear flame pursue. 18 And the earth-- We have spread it forth and made in it firm mountains and caused to grow in it of every suitable thing. 19 We have provided on it sustenance for you, and for those you cannot provide. 20 And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure. 21 And We let loose the winds to fertilize [plants] and We send down water from the skies and let you drink thereof: and it is not you who dispose of its source 22 Lo! and it is We, even We, Who quicken and give death, and We are the Inheritor. 23 To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind. 24 And indeed, your Lord will gather them; indeed, He is Wise and Knowing. 25
