T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." 24
