It is He Who has endowed you with the faculties of hearing and sight and has given you hearts (to think). Scarcely do you give thanks. 78 It was He who scattered you on the earth, and before Him you shall be gathered. 79 It is He Who gives life and causes death, and He holds mastery over the alternation of night and day. Do you not understand this? 80 They say exactly the same thing as the people who lived before. 81 They say: What! When we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we then be raised? 82 Our fathers and we have been given such promises before. These are no more than ancient legends." 83 Say: "To whom belong the earth and all beings therein? (say) if ye know!" 84 They will surely say: "Allah's." Say: "Then why do you not take heed?" 85 Ask them: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, the Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 [And] they will reply: "[All this power belongs] to God." Say: "Will you not, then, remain conscious of Him?" 87 Ask them: "Say, if you indeed know, to whom belongs the dominion over all things; (Who is it) that grants asylum, but against Whom no asylum is available?" 88 They will say: "God's." Say: "Then why are you so deluded?" 89 In fact We have sent the truth to them, but they are liars. 90 No son (or offspring or children) did Allah beget, nor is there any ilah (god) along with Him; (if there had been many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others! Glorified be Allah above all that they attribute to Him! 91 Knower of the unseen and the visible; He is exalted above all that which they associate with Him. 92
