Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
