Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And those that strike violently, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known extent. 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
