Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
